It seems everyone lately is just as excited about Android as we are at Quickoffice. To-date, Google claims 190 million Android devices have been manufactured, while Sony announced 22 million of those products were its Android-powered Xperia smartphones. Things are going so well for Sony’s mobile division that they were recently able to buy out Ericsson’s 50 percent stake in the companies’ joint venture and are shifting their entire product portfolio to smartphones in 2012.
Motorola is another big organization that has not only been excited about Android over the last few years, but has greatly helped the OS become as popular as it is today by choosing it for so many of its leading smartphones. In our opinion, Google made a wise decision to purchase the company and merge two solid mobile brands under one roof. Motorola also recently announced exciting news that they have revived the massively successful and iconic Razr – only instead of being a features phone like the original, it’s now a smartphone. See if you can guess which OS it’s running.
If you’re already an Android enthusiast, or if recent increased popularity has convinced you to become a Droid user, make sure to check out Quickoffice’s custom-built apps for Android smartphones and tablets, which were recently updated to v5.0. If you’re planning to be nostalgic and buy the Droid Razr, our app comes preloaded for your mobile productivity convenience!
