Happy New Year!

From all of us at Quickoffice, we wish you a very happy and healthy 2012! We are excited to see what the New Year will bring to technology in general, and specifically for the mobile industry. Last year was truly remarkable, as it was full of new and innovative solutions. I don’t have any New Year’s resolutions, but I do have a goal for 2012; to challenge the Quickoffice team and myself to find new ways to make our apps even more innovative, convenient and user friendly. On that note, we love hearing from our customers as often as possible, so please don’t hesitate to tell us your thoughts via our blog, Facebook, Twitter or IdeaScale pages!

Last quarter we continued our strong company momentum by updating our webOS and iOS apps to enhance usability and add features to better equip the mobile workforce. We also continued expanding our partnerships by delivering integrated access to open source enterprise content management provider, Alfresco.

Some of the most rewarding developments to come last quarter were the opportunities I had as CEO to speak on a few panels with some of the most creative and savvy people in the industry. Having the chance to listen to all the intriguing discussions at CloudBeat and GigaOM Net:Work gave me new insight on how to push the cloud and mobile boundaries further in 2012.

In December, we were invited to the Mobile Excellence Awards ceremony and even more excited when we won the 'Best Mobile Application for Utility or Business’ category. We also learned David Halpin, our VP of engineering, has been invited to Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this year to speak about the future of mobility and office in the cloud, and Gregg Fiddes will be speaking at CES about the consumerization of IT. So, stay tuned because there is a lot more exciting things to come.

 It has been a whirlwind of a quarter and an exciting year. We look forward to 2012 and hearing more from our great community of readers.

As someone who is a user of QuickOffice Pro on webOS and Android, I am very much hoping for continued development on both platforms. {Jonathan}
