Macworld: It’s a wrap!

As I walked around Macworld last week, looking at the whiz-bang gadgets, I was constantly reminded of life outside the show with the buzz of emails, text messages and phone calls vibrating in my pocket. Nearly everyone I walked past had a phone to his head or an electronic appendage growing from their ear that magically transmitted audio. From electronic pens that record what you write and computerized whiteboards that share presentations with colleagues, to content management, screen sharing and video conferencing services that live in the cloud, real-time collaboration is now a requirement.
Now, more than ever, people need to work together, no matter what, when, or where they are. With data streaming from around the globe in real time, people need ways to remain productive, even at tradeshows like Macworld.
I see now, that devices are no longer getting smaller and faster, but are required to streamline the massive influx of data, classifying what is important and what can remain unanswered until later. These devices need to be intelligent about how and when is the right time to present information, allowing you to work more quickly and efficiently.
Given this, I am excited to think about how Quickoffice contributes to the needs of today’s mobile professionals. With our recent announcement of Quickoffice’s new ‘connect’ service, we are bringing cloud services to mobile devices, enabling productivity, anytime, anywhere. Our roadmap is ripe with new innovations that will allow for the aggregation and filtering of massive quantities of data, which compete for our attention.
With today’s demands, you need timely access to information in an unencumbered way. You can’t afford to be wading through hundreds of files or emails. You need a solution that will allow you to get what you need, right away. You need a compelling user interface, one that is easy to use, intuitive, cuts through the clutter and presents just the information you seek. That’s the vision for Quickoffice Connect and what I confirmed at Macworld.
