Quickoffice brings editing to HP webOS

While the future of webOS is still yet to be determined (following HP’s recent corporate announcement), we want to share with our loyal webOS users that, indeed, we are rolling out our planned update, which includes editing for Word and Excel files.

As we’ve discussed previously on our blog, we’ve been working closely with HP to provide Microsoft Office editing functionality to our consumers. Our scheduled update is being pushed out to HP TouchPads now, so users should see the update on their devices very soon.  We are incredibly pleased that our users are getting this promised update, as we have worked diligently to bring editing to the TouchPad and are glad our users will be able to benefit from the increased productivity and efficiency this version will provide. We hope this will enhance our users’ immediate productivity capabilities on HP webOS devices and look forward to learning more about the future of webOS as HP informs the marketplace.

We appreciate all of the support and interest we’ve received from webOS users and hope you’ll continue to follow us for the latest Quickoffice news on Twitter and Facebook.

Thank you for the update, it has been very frustrating that the touchpad had not a single application for writing on not counting writing an email.

As I write commissioned stories, it could be handy.

Very, very cool! Thank you so much!

This update makes the TouchPad more productive and useful.

But I hope you still working on future updates to come with more functionality. And may be there will be a function commenting Adobe PDF documents. But so far this is a very good day for WebOS :).

Just a short thank you for continuing to develop your application for webOS, especially in light of the recent upheaval at HP.

Thanks guys ...this is seriously cool... whatever happens with WebOS.

This is the first version of QO I have used... and it really makes the TouchPad a serious workhorse not just a media player.

Is there a direct link to Quickoffice at HP App Catalog? It's no where to be found in that catalog...

I got mine, newly Touchpad, upgraded to QO Pro HD...
