Time to spring clean your mobile world

Spring is in the air! There are numerous articles on ‘spring cleaning’ various aspects of your life and work, including one’s house, business, finances, workout, relationships, and other numerous topics. But, what about one’s mobile life? We are increasingly becoming a society tied to multiple mobile devices, including laptops, smartphones, tablets, audio players and portable game devices, and these are critical components to our life, ensuring we stay productive and connected. As such, we thought it would be fun and timely to provide our Top Ten Tips to clean up and organize your mobile world. Check out our list below and let us know if you have any other suggestions that we may have missed, and let’s get our mobile life in shape together for Spring!
- Disinfect mobile devices with saline wipes to ensure bacteria-free smartphones and a healthier, happier you.
- Unclutter your laptop tablet by moving and organizing digital content and documents to the cloud through services like SugarSync, Box.net or Huddle.
- Delete that T-Pain app and other random services that you never use.
- Invest in a protective case for your smartphone, laptop or tablet to ensure it’s safe from occasional dings and scratches.
- Check each device for software updates. Who knows, you could be running last year’s platform and this might be affecting its performance.
- Evaluate how many mobile devices you have and whether it’s smart to invest in a cordless device charger that will reduce the number of electrical cords you have.
- Delete pictures that no longer serve a purpose form your phone
- Organize your plethora of apps within categories to help you quickly find what you need.
- Create a mobile filing system for important documents within Quickoffice for quick viewing and editing on the go.
- Clean-up your mobile directory and delete those old contacts that you never speak to anymore, creating more room for new relationships and networking opportunities.
