What's happening on the iPhone?

We recently executed a survey that looked at who is using iPhones, what they are doing with them and why, as we continue to seek out additional details about our customers to better serve their interests. Through the survey, we were hoping to discover if there has been a significant change in smartphone usage in the workplace and at school, as well as the types of tasks people are performing while on the move. We pride ourselves with being in touch with our users and continually checking to make sure the functionality provided on our apps is optimal. While we can’t spill all our secrets, we thought we’d share some of our findings with our loyal readers, as the outcome was quite interesting and we’d love to hear your thoughts as well.
We found the average Quickoffice Pro for iPhone user is between 35 and 54 years old, and is an office worker, executive, business owner or student. One inference we can make from this is that young adults have not adopted productivity software on a massive scale yet. We found this very interesting, as many assume younger users tend to adopt new technologies and trends first.
Customers engage with mobile document apps 18 minutes per day, on the go, usually for viewing and editing Word documents. Upon completion, users email the file or store it in the cloud or on a device. This is a significant amount of time spent per day working from a mobile device and we can only imagine this average time will continue to rise exponentially in the next few years, as more and more individuals switch to smartphones.
In general, these findings demonstrate people are using mobile phones and applications more often than before, as it allows them to continue work on the go, enabling enhanced mobility and productivity.
How much time do you spend on your iPhone for productivity purposes? We’d love to hear how you use your smartphone and Quickoffice.
